Dongxiang copper deposit is located in Dongxiang County of Jiangxi Province, which is a medium-size copper (tungsten) ore polymetallic deposit and mainly composed by copper ore. It is a part of the non-ferrous metal metallogenic belt. Integrating with the geological conditions of ore formation of Dongxiang copper deposit and applying the metallogenic theories related to the regional metallogeny and the polygenetic compound deposit, it had clarified the geological features and the metallogenic regularities of Dongxiang copper deposit, the metallogenic and ore-prospecting model were established that of the copper deposit in this area and the ore-prospecting was forecested through the comprehensive researches on the mineral petrology, metallotectonic and mineral deposit, which is significant for the instruction of the ore-prospecting practice. The researches show that the ore-forming materials are derived from the fundamental series; the carboniferous strata is mainly as the rich ore rock and also provide a part of metallogenic material; the magma movement in this area and the migration of deep brine are the main causes for the further replacement, transformation and enrichment of the metallogenic materials in the initial bed; the final positioning of the ore body is related to the transformation of the later structure movement. The main reason of the ore formation is the syngenetic exhalation sedimentation in the late Paleozoic era with the polygenetic compound deposit which is characterized by other mineralizations.
