Abstract:From the perspective of cultivation of international competitiveness of multinational corporation by offensive stragey and bidirectional spillovers,the premise and main factors of strengthening international competitiveness which was in place of the suceess of inverse outward foreign direct investment(OFDI), were ascertained by comparative analysis of equilibriu solutions in a two–country duopoly Cournot model and case study of Wanxiang Group. Both the extra cost of multinational corporation and its critical value were lower than that of developed host enterprises ,which constitutes the premise. The main factors influencing the cultivation effect of internaitonal competitiveness consisted of technology level of multinational corporation , degree of spillovers from host rivals and extent of cross-border transfer of spilovers. If technology gap was larger, the promotion of degree of spillovers was pivotal to enhance international competitiveness;While it was smaller, it was significiant to cultivate international competitiveness that multination corporation heightens the transfer degree of spillovers.
