Abstract:In order to expand the production methods of CS2, the idea was proposed to replace sulfur with H2S to product CS2. The minimum reaction thermodynamic and reaction temperature was casulated,which illustrates the feasibility of the reaction. Based on Gibbs free energy minimization principle, combined with Aspen Plus, the mole flow of CH4 and H2S, reaction pressure and temperature on the reaction results, were analyzed. The results show that, under the ratio of CH4/H2S is 2∶1, increasing temperature of the reaction,the conversion improve but the pressure is opposite. The conversion is 58.6 % at the condition of 1 000 ℃,101.325 kPa. When the molar ratio of the flow rate of CH4/H2S is 5∶1, the conversion of H2S is 90 %.
